Want to go to DCCYC for free?  Create a design for the camp t-shirt...  If your design is the one chosen by the camp board, you'll get to go to camp for free!!!

ACC Youth Holiday Lock-In - December 30-31

Cost = Free‼ (but must bring snack to share)

We’re going to have a night of nocturnal insanity, beginning with a special time of worship and Bible study at 7:30 PM, followed by some crazy group games, and then your choice of movies, games, sports, video games, or sleeping through the overnight hours. We will conclude with breakfast before sending everyone home to catch up on his or her sleep at 8:30 AM. You don’t want to miss it‼

What to Bring:
• Snacks / Drinks
7th-8th - sweets, 9th-10th - salty snacks, 11th-12th - drinks
• Pillow / sleeping bag or bedding

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

PACKING PARTY

Friday, November 18, 7:30 - 8:30 PM

 

During the first hour of TGIF (7:30-8:30 PM) on Friday, November 18, we're going to put together 20 boxes for Operation Christmas Child that will be sent to needy children all over the world.  Please bring $7.00 (needed to ship each box) & some of the following items so we can make these boxes special!!!

 

GIFT IDEAS

 

Toys:

small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch® , toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.

 

School Supplies:

pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.

 

Hygiene Items:

toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.

 

Other:

Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)

 

A Personal Note:

In a separate envelope, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. (If you include your name and address, the child may write back.)

 

 

Do Not Include:

Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers; aerosol cans

We’ll depart from ACC at 1:00 PM and enjoy lunch together.  After lunch, we’ll head over to Fielder Road Baptist Church, where we’ll help receive and pack the shoeboxes from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.  We will return to ACC at 5:15 PM.

4:00 - 9:00 PM

Cost = $5 for corn maze + $5-8 for dinner @ Freddy’s

 

We’ll depart from ACC at 4:00 PM and head to Hall’s Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine where we’ll try to find our way through the corn maze.  After surviving the maze we’ll pick up a few pumpkins & head over to Freddy’s in Euless where we’ll have dinner.  We’ll then head back to the church & have a pumpkin-carving contest.  After the contest is decided we’ll watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” while we enjoy some pumpkin pie…  At 9:00 it’ll be time to head for the hills…

Lunch at In-n-Out Burger - Sunday, October 9

Hungry for the best fast-food burger made?  Then come along with us on Sunday, October 9 as we head over to the new In-n-Out by the Parks Mall in Arlington after Sunday School.  We'll enjoy some great burgers & fries before returning to ACC by 2:30 PM.

Beautiful Feet (ministry to homeless in Fort Worth) - Saturday, August 27

We'll be helping put on two services (lead singing, share testimonies, put on a skit, preach a Gospel message) in addition to helping sort donated clothes, unloading food from a delivery truck, and preparing food in the kitchen.
Let Kevin know if you're interesting in serving in a specific way with the services or if you just want to be a helping hand to the people at Beautiful Feet.
We'll eat lunch after serving and will return to ACC by 3:00 PM.

Meet at ACC at 8:00 AM & return by 3:00 PM.  Bring a few $$$ for lunch!!

TGIF & Laser Tag / Pizza / Arcade Games @ Alley Cats - Friday, August 19

We’ll have an abbreviated TGIF from 7:30-8:30, & then we’ll leave for Alley Cats.  Once there, everyone will play 1 game of laser tag, get 2 slices of pizza & a drink, and a $10.00 game card for the arcade!  We’ll play until 11:00 and return to ACC by 11:30 PM. 

Cost = $13.00
Permission slips are due by Sunday, August 14!

Lord of the Rings Marathon - Saturday, July 16

We will be watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy (the extended versions, of course) starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 9:30 PM.

Bring a sack lunch with you, some snacks and drinks to share (sodas will be provided), a pillow or something similar to sit on, and a few dollars for pizza for dinner.

If you can't make it for the entire time, feel free to show up for whatever portion you can...
