Mission Arlington Outreach • June 5-10
The Mission Arlington Outreach will begin after Sunday School on Sunday, June 5, and end at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 10.
At Mission Arlington we will be putting on children's programs called "Rainbow Express" for needy kids in apartment complexes in the greater Arlington area in the morning and afternoon (think of a Vacation Bible School / Art Camp that goes to apartment complexes in our area) on Monday - Thursday. Each evening we will eat dinner together before meeting for worship and preparing for the next day. Students will have the option of staying overnight at the church or spending the night at their homes and joining us during the day. On Sunday afternoon we will pass out flyers in the apartment complexes to invite children to the Rainbow Express program, and on Friday morning we will serve at the church, performing various clean-up / maintenance tasks. Pastor Kevin and other ACC Youth volunteers will be serving alongside you throughout the week.
The cost for the week is $100.00, and it is open to any youth, from incoming 7th graders to graduates. Subsidies are available--let Pastor Kevin know if you need one...
The registration deadline for Mission Arlington is Wednesday, June 1, and you can register for the outreach here: https://forms.gle/W8WjoXz3p5z23ko76
DCCYC - Dallas Chinese Christian Youth Camp • June 15-19
DCCYC is the annual summer camp organized by most of the Chinese churches in the DFW area involving hundreds of incoming 7th grade students through graduates. There are games and activities, times of worship and challenging messages, Biblical workshops, and lots of fun. The theme for this year’s camp is “Unmasked”, focusing on the masks that we wear around others and try to wear around God. As the Psalmist states in Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” As the psalmist proclaims, our hope is for students to find freedom and healing as they posture to unmask themselves before God and others.
The early bird registration fee is $325.00 through May 15, after which the fee goes up, and as always subsidies are available, just let Pastor Kevin know if you would benefit from one.
All of the registration information for DCCYC can be found here: https://www.dccyc.org/register-now.html
For the Nations Outreach / High School Mission Trip • June 26-July 1
The mission of the For the Nations Refugee Outreach is to provide educational and family services that help meet the practical needs of refugees and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ. They minister to the thousands of refugees from Africa, the Middle East, and Asia who have been settled in apartment communities in the North Dallas area.
We will partner with For the Nations this week and help with the various ministries they provide to refugees, including kid's clubs, reading programs, tutoring, English classes, swimming lessons, etc.
Registration for this outreach closed on April 30.
